About Us Our Mission: MEET OUR STAFF About Mother Nurture: Mother Nurture is conveniently located off Richmond Road in Lexington, Kentucky and is here to serve you and help you achieve your goals for raising your children. The staff are trained bra fitters for a variety of brands of nursing bras, we provide Medela Symphony and Lactina breast pump rentals, and we can assist you in learning to cloth diaper or wear your baby in a wrap or soft-structured carrier. We only carry high-quality brands and would be pleased to help fit you for a Bravado, Anita or one of our other top-quality nursing bras. Our staff have become certified bra fitters and will work with you to ensure that your nursing bra no only fits correctly, but provides you with the support you need during this time in your life. Feel free to try on as many bras as you would like and tato take your time. We are happy to help you make your decision! We well Medela breast pumps and the related supplies here. We will be happy to help you learn to use your breast pump, select the spare parts that you may need, or test your current pump to be sure that it is working at its maximum capacity. We also provide monthly breast pump rentals of the Medela Symphony and Medela Lactina as well as the Baby Weigh Scale. Feel free to call us or stop by if you have any questions about how to use your pump, or what supplies we have. We also provide Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLC) for private lactation consultations that can be conducted either in your home or in our comfortable private consult room. If you are having problems, pain or difficulties with breastfeeding, this would be a great place to start. Call us at 859.335.5949 to schedule a consultation. Latch Check Clinics provided weekly in a group setting or privately by appointment. If you have a few questions or are experiencing painful latches, we would recommend a latch check clinic to help determine what changes can be made to make breastfeeding a more peaceful and enjoyable experience for both mother and baby. Interested in cloth diapering? Stop by for a hands-on demonstration of Bummis all-in-ones or prefolds. We will be more than happy to show you how you would diaper your child, explain the supplies you would need and help you select what will work best for your family. We also carry Wahmies wet bags and pail liners, Snappis, Bummis Super Brite and Super Whisper Wrap covers and a variety of cloth wipes to help our family be disposable free! Feel free to ask any questions you may have, we are here to serve you! If you'd like to learn to wear your baby in a carrier, you have certainly come to the right place! We carry Sleepy Wraps and Boba Carriers and would love to show you how to use them. You are more than welcome to try on the carriers, wear your child (or our demo doll, if you prefer) around the store and see how you like it. We also have child-size carriers so that your older children can wear their dolls or bears just like Mommy and Daddy wear their younger siblings. (Child-size carriers are not intended to be used with real babies.) We will be happy to help you choose from any of our Earth Mama Angel Baby products to determine what would best meet your needs. We carry a variety of teas, lotions, balms for mama and baby and support kits for breastfeeding, labor and pregnancy. We also carry herbal supplements and tinctures by Herb Lore and would enjoy helping you select the products that would best serve you. A variety of toys by Under the Nile, Little Sapling and Montgomery Schoolhouse are available at Mother Nurture. The fruit baskets and veggie crates are a big hit, as well as the wooden teethers. We feel that if the baby is going to put a toy in his or her mount (and we all know that toys end up in babies' mouths!), it would be best if that toy is free of chemicals, BPA, dyes and paints. The organic toys at Mother Nurture will help your child appreciate the simple toys that don't need batteries or noises to be fun and you will appreciate the fact that it is better for your family. |
