Join other expectant parents to meet the birth doulas working in Central Kentucky. We'll talk about what doulas do, the benefits of doula services, and how to find the right doula for you. Learn about childbirth options and positive birth experiences!

12:30 pm  Choosing the Right Breast Pump – Kristi Rhode, CLC

There are so many pumps to choose from, how do know which pump is right for you?  In this session, you’ll learn about the difference between a high quality and poor quality pump and which pump will fit your lifestyle and breastfeeding goals.

1:00 pm  When to Seek Breastfeeding Help – Janie Weatherford, IBCLC

Our Certified Lactation Consultant will discuss how to know when breastfeeding is going well, when to seek help, and what to expect from a consultation.

2:00 pm  Breastfeeding and Beyond – Michelle Bennett, MD

Join Pediatrician Michelle Bennett to learn about infant nutrition—from breastfeeding through the introduction of solid foods.

3:00 pm  Car Seats 101 – Karen Turner, Safe Kids Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician

Did you know that 80 – 90% of car seats are improperly installed? Vehicle crashes remain the number one killer of children ages 2-14 in the United States.  There are many tools parents and caregivers can use to help reduce the risk of injury and death to children who ride in vehicles.  Karen will review the latest recommendations, and discuss car seat compatibility and safe car seat installation and use. A must for all parents with children of car seat age!
